Kim Plotti! I’m Kim Plott and was born here in Concord! I’ve had a life long passion for fitness and in my 50’s feel better than ever! It was an injury that lead to chronic back pain & plantar fasciitis that sent me down a path of exploring self-healing and what fitness truly meant for me. I believe that YOUR body is meant to be pain-free, strong and mobile for a lifetime and with the correct type of exercise you can unlock your body, release pain and move more freely.
I believe there isn’t a one size fits all plan to finding what inspires you to move and the reason I’m so excited to be a part of a studio, offering a variety of workouts, where we can all grow together and explore what fitness means for YOU! I am an ACE certified group fitness instructor with certifications in Barre through American Barre Technique and Barre Above, Essentrics©, Balletone and TabataGX. I’m looking forward to meeting lots of new faces and Getting Fit Together! |
Joy DryHi! My name is Joy and I'm the owner of Get Fit Together and a Nesta Certified Group Fitness Instructor.
I was born and raised in Concord NC where I reside today. I did not grow up with an athletic background. I did not find my love for fitness until I was in my mid thirties. At the encouragement of some instructors at the gym, I began on path of falling in love with fitness. In 2008 I began teaching group fitness classes for an all ladies gym in Concord. Most of my fitness career was spent with the City of Concord offering boot camp in the park classes. I really enjoy a variety fitness formats that welcomes all levels of fitness on all steps of the fit & healthy journey. My hope is to inspire others to reach beyond their goals. You'll find a wide variety of classes from boot camp, circuit workouts, body sculpting, step, aerobics, trampoline and stability ball classes. Variety keeps it interesting and fun. My motto is "Find a workout you love and repeat it often." |
Melanie CresenziHi! I’m Melanie Cresenzi. I was born in North Carolina on a military base, and eventually moved and grew up in Connecticut. I married in 1999, began a family, moved back to NC in 2005, and now live in Mount Pleasant. For the last 16 years I’ve built my career at Wells Fargo, currently working in fraud as a consultant. I am a big advocate and volunteer for a Rottweiler Rescue in NC, of which I’ve fostered, adopted, and transported rescues for. In our spare time, my husband and I dabble in home brew and wine making as a fun hobby.
I’ve always loved movement of any form, whether it be in a fitness class, hiking, walking, dancing….I LOVE dancing…..anything to keep a smile on my face and my body moving. I began teaching fitness classes in 2016 at a gym I attended in Mount Pleasant. I instructed several different types of group classes including Tabata, Circuit, Boot camp, Butt and Gut, Pure Cardio, Pilates, and Yoga. I met some really amazing people and built strong friendships from my time there. I am down to earth, easy going, and love to laugh. I am excited to begin a new adventure with Get Fit Together as a group fitness instructor. “Never regret anything that made you smile” – Mark Twain. |

Xtreme Hip Hop has added such innumerable value to my life that I became a certified Xtreme Hip Hop instructor in May 2022. I am so eager to share my new passion with others in hopes that it will make a positive impact on someone else’s life as it did on mine! |
Sierra PostHi! My name is Sierra Post, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Concord NC.
I recently traveled to India to pursue my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training! My certification is in Vinyasa and Ashtanga flow. I also learned extensively about Meditation and Pranayama (breathing practices) as well. I have a deep passion for yoga and what it can bring to the lives of every individual. Whether your goal is fitness, stretching/flexibility, or mind and body connection.. yoga has something to offer EVERYONE! For me, yoga is my way of keeping my body healthy but most importantly for helping keep my mind calm while also helping my connect with my inner self. I wanted to do my training in Rishikesh India (the birthplace and yoga capital of the world) so I could bring the most authentic and traditional qualities of this practice back to the United States for all of us to benefit and learn from. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to get to share all I’ve learned. I hope to see you in a class very soon! |
Kelly McCarthyHi, My name is Kelly and I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to get to work out with you. I have been training group fitness classes since 2011, concentrating in weight training, spinning and small group mixed fit style classes. I love taking classes nearly as much as I love leading them and value the opportunity to work along side of the talented group of trainers here at Get Fit Together.
My journey with fitness has had its ups and down, something I think you might be able to relate to. I have always played sports and been drawn to anything active. I knew from a young age that I felt happiest sweaty. After college concluded, I found myself lost without organized sports. I neglected my physical health and in turn, neglected my overall health. I gained weight, lost confidence and convinced myself my passion for movement had waned. As I moved into my 30’s I was in the worst shape of my life and struggling with weight associated health problems. Group fitness saved me. It gave me the “team” I had been missing since leaving organized sports. The people I worked out with were my teammates and the instructor, my coach. The decision to start leading classes was one that came naturally. I am energetic, encouraging and at times, plain old loud. Having had major setbacks in my fitness journey, I know what if feels like to start over. I absolutely believe that any person can accomplish any fitness goal they might set with consistency, proper training and the right people in their corner. I look forward to being that for you! |
