AERIAL YOGAWhat is aerial yoga? It is a form of yoga that utilizes a silk hammock as a prop to access a wide range of poses that may not normally be accessible in traditional mat yoga practice. For many people, aerial yoga is actually more accessible than traditional mat yoga due to the assistance the silk hammock provides. Don’t let the thought of “inverting” or getting upside-down make you nervous, all poses are optional and modifications to any pose can be made.
This 60 minute class will introduce participants to aerial decompression yoga, a very beginner friendly style of aerial yoga. Participants will use the hammock to decompress the spine, stretch the hips and shoulders, and to decompress mentally as well. Special class pack required. |
